The first entry

Miles along the road of life
I think that the first entry into a new blog must be the hardest. Getting into putting thoughts down, and having them make sense. My plan is to use this to make notes on my training and progress toward long term training goals.
Two weeks ago I finished my first half-iron distance triathalon. It was a tough day, 90 degree temps and high winds (rumor has it, they were blowing at upwards of 35mph). I just kept moving forward, that was my goal - I didn't care how slow it felt, just as long as I was moving.
Since then, I been taking it easy, I caught a cold the week after the race. I'd been fighting a cough leading up to then, but now it's settled in good. So I've been trying to stay rested, and not train too much until I recover.
I figure now is a good time to get organized, and start setting goals for next year. I hope to stay up on the blog so you can follow my training even while I'm traveling for work.
Catch ya' later!
